Pitch Black River is the first collaborative creation of a choreographer, a dancer, and a video artist. The project originated from the improvisational series Tip of the Iceberg, but soon developed into an independent artistic research. The collaboration between the three creators is continuously evolving, raising new questions and opening new directions.
Dim light and darkness serve as the aesthetic foundation of the performance, evoking a state of uncertainty and transition. Video projection functions not only as a visual element but also as a tool for altering perception, constantly inviting the audience to reinterpret what they see. The project operates in a liminal space between genres: it does not rely on traditional dramaturgy, but offers an open, emotionally charged experience that encourages a playful and active mode of audience engagement.
